Upon receiving her California single-subject credential in English-Language Arts as well as a Master of Education specializing in curriculum and instruction, Amanda Plocinski spent five years in the middle school English classroom. Never being one to shy from taking risks in the classroom, Amanda worked diligently to bring real world projects to her students. In an effort to spread her passion for cross-disciplinary, project-based curriculum with the integration of meaningful educational technology, Amanda transitioned into the role of Instructional Coach. With mentor support through Google for Education and Digital Promise's Dynamic Learning Project (DLP), Amanda spent the past two years honing her skills as an effective teacher coach. During this time, Amanda has worked with over fifty educators to address classroom goals and challenges. As Amanda looks ahead to the 2019-20 school year, she will be working closely with her district to support a new cohort of instructional coaches as well as level up the engaging work happening at her site.
